13‑piece furniture set for a miniature dollhouse

8.01

What can you build from this miniature dollhouse furniture kit? From this kit you can create 13 tiny pieces of furniture in a scale of approximately 1:144:

Shelf – height 2 cm, depth 0.4 cm, width approx. 0.9 cm Bed – height 1.1 cm, length 1.5 cm, width approx. 0.9 cm Sofa – height 1.1 cm, depth 0.7 cm, width approx. 2 cm Armchair – height approx. 1.1 cm, width approx. 0.9 cm 2 chairs – height approx. 1.1 cm, seat width approx. 0.7 cm Coffee table – height approx. 0.6 cm, tabletop approx. 0.4 × 0.55 cm Table – height approx. 0.7 cm, tabletop approx. 0.8 × 0.8 cm 2 round tables – height approx. 0.6 cm, tabletop diameter approx. 0.55 cm 3 stools – height approx. 0.4 cm, seat diameter approx. 0.4 cm

Extra: a small floor piece, just in case you feel inspired to build a tiny room inside a traditional matchbox.

Small, sweet, and full of possibilities.

Assembly

Begin calmly: Gently wiggle the pieces loose. Test-fitting before gluing is always a good idea – it makes the work easier.

For gluing, I recommend an all-purpose white glue (Erikeepper-type). (I don’t recommend super glue or hot glue for these tiny joints.)

Finishing

The furniture is charming as it is. If you wish, you can sand or scrape off the attachment points.

Finnish birch plywood is suitable for many types of finishing:

• painting • waxing • varnishing • staining

…or you can leave the natural wood tone visible.

After removing the pieces, you’ll have a bit of extra plywood left – a perfect little test surface for colours and finishes.

Safety

All parts in the kit are small or very small, so the product is not suitable for children under 3 years.

Please also take care during assembly so that the small and tiny pieces don’t disappear.
